The sports and recreation festival continues with a great sea day in Ičići
The sports and recreation festival continues this weekend and will be colored with sea blue, and the center of the event will be Ičići.
On Sunday, August 27, the festival continues with a great marine program, all under the patronage of Tourist bord of Ičići.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the popular beach in Ičići will be open to all lovers of various sea activities, and everything will start with a sailing school on a cruiser under the guidance of experts from OpaSailing School & Cruise.
You can sail in the safe hands of professional skippers on the school boat Feet 30, with a special discount that is offered for the introductory 2 hours of sailing only on Sunday, and all you need to do is gather a team of 5 to 6 members and sign up for one of the groups that will go sailing in from 7:00 to 9:00, 10:00 to 12:00, 12:30 to 14:30 and 15:00 to 17:00 (or by arrangement).

Starting at 9:30 am, the 2nd VOP SUP Cup Regatta "Cup Ičići" will be held, and the organizers from the VOP SUP team remind those interested that the rules are the same as in the previous regatta.
Competitors with boards longer than 12.6m register in the RACE or ELITE categories, while the FUN category is exclusively for boards up to 12.6m long and shorter! The length of the tracks for the Elite category is 6 km, for Race 4 km and Fun 2 km, children up to 10 years old drive on a 500-meter long track, while those older than 10 years old on a 1,000-meter track. A leash (safety lace) is mandatory for all competitors.
The entry fee is 25.00 € for everyone over the age of 14, and 10.00 € for children under 14.
What should definitely be noted is that after the SUP regatta is over, there will also be a distribution of awards to the most successful in the general standings for the Kvarner Cup 2023.

In addition to sailing and the regatta, the organizer is also preparing a beach handball tournament that starts at 10 a.m., which is played according to HRS rules with teams of 5 players and in mixed categories (m+f) up to and over 14 years old age.
The rich program also includes the promotion of riding a SUP through which, under expert guidance, everyone will be able to their first strokes on the popular board.
The youngest will certainly be interested in the sports and recreation program for children, which will start at 10 a.m. and will offer target shooting, hoop throwing, archery, a sports range, bocce ball and other interesting activities for children of preschool and younger school age, all under expert guidance.
This great active day in Ičići, in which everyone can participate (at their own risk), will end another weekend in which the Sports Recreation Festival will confirm its status as the leading manifestation of this type in these areas.
And all with the aim of promoting a healthy life and the importance of an active life, which are very important today.
