During the weekend of November 7–9, 2025, the Croatian National Championship for Senior Women in Sport Fishing under the "catch and release” system was held, organized by the Sport Fishing Club Ičići (ŠRK Ičići).
A total of 24 competitors from all over Croatia took part in the competition, which also served as a selection event for the Croatian national team for the following year.
The biggest catch was made by Mateja Budisavljević (ŠRD Tunera) with a sea bass weighing 355 grams, earning her the gold medal. Ivana Budisavljević (ŠRD Tunera) took second place, while Ana Vučetić (PŠRK Stobreč) finished third.
Representing Ičići were local competitors Sava Dešković, Ružica Vretenar, and Renata Hlanuda, who performed excellently and met all the challenges of the competition.
Good weather and the great sporting spirit of all participants further contributed to the success of this event.
