An Exciting Day of Sports and Recreation Filled with Competitive Spirit
On Saturday, 13 June 2026, Ičići became a vibrant hub of sports and recreation, offering visitors a full day of engaging outdoor activities. The beach in Ičići hosted a variety of sporting and recreational events organised by the Gorovo Sports Recreation Club (KŠR Gorovo), in cooperation with its partners and under the patronage of the Ičići Tourist Board and the City of Opatija. The event also formed part of the programme marking Primorje-Gorski Kotar County – European Region of Sport 2026.
The day began in the early morning with an attractive sailing school organised in cooperation with OpaSailing School & Cruise. Participants had the opportunity to learn the basics of sailing aboard a Feet 30 yacht under the guidance of a professional skipper.
A particular highlight of the day was the 5th VOP SUP Regatta "Cup Ičići", a competitive stand-up paddleboarding event held in both the RACE and FUN categories.
Spectators enjoyed exciting races just off the coast of Ičići, where competitors of all ages demonstrated remarkable skill and determination.

Following the awards ceremony, participants and visitors continued to enjoy a relaxed gathering on the beach.
Once again, Ičići Beach proved to be an excellent venue for sports and recreational events of this kind. Encouraged by the success of this year's festival, the organisers have already announced new activities to be held at the same location in the near future.
