On August 17, 2025, the Sports Fishing Club Ičići organized the 10th Captain Igor Žiganto Memorial.
A total of 21 teams from Croatia, Slovenia, and Hungary took part.
The fishing grounds stretched from Hotel Admiral to the beach Cesara–Medveja.
The weather was excellent for fishing, which was held according to the new rules: only the 20 biggest fish were counted, each no shorter than 18 cm. Only high-quality species were valid (such as gilthead seabream, common pandora, white seabream, two-banded seabream, John Dory, comber, sharpsnout seabream, etc.).
The final results:

2. SRD Zubatac Lovran – Šobot / Zrinšćak
3. ŠRD Lovrata Krk – Lukarič / Pavičić
4. SRD Plomin – Barak / Lukšić
The biggest catch was made by the team from SRD Galeb Raša – a 379 g common pandora.
All participants received T-shirts and gift bags with small fishing accessories, while medal winners were awarded reels, rods, and serbidors, as well as fishing tackle boxes for the skippers, all donated by the fishing store Nevera s Kvarnera and Daria Milotić, to whom we are very grateful!
This year, even the team that finished in 4th place received a small prize – underwater squid fishing lamps.
Special thanks from ŠRK Ičići go to Mr. Vlado Vretenar, who helps with the organization every year, as well as to the staff of the Galeb restaurant where the final lunch was held, and to the skippers who accompanied the competitors at sea, along with SRD Zubatac Lovran and SRD Jadran Opatija for their support with boats.
