On Wednesday, July 30th, 2025, Ičići marked a remarkable anniversary that testifies to the true friendship between the town and its guests – the 45th year of visits by the Voges family from Germany to this coastal destination.
Organized by the Tourist Board of Ičići, Peter and Petra Voges once again received well-deserved recognition for their long-standing loyalty to the place they rightfully call their second home.
This touching story began back in 1980, when the Voges family first arrived in Ičići. Throughout all these years they have stayed with the Kumičić family, and over time developed a close relationship with Mr. Darko Kumičić, a long-time family host, which has grown into a genuine friendship.
Today, three generations of the Voges family and three generations of the Kumičić family are proudly connected by a bond that has become a true family friendship.
Over the course of 45 years, countless connections and friendships have been built with the local community, making Ičići not only a holiday destination but also a place of personal ties and warm memories.
The Tourist Board of Ičići prepared a heartfelt reception, presenting the family with a certificate of appreciation and a symbolic gift as a token of gratitude for their loyalty.
The meeting was filled with emotion – Peter and Petra, visibly moved by the gesture and hospitality, once again emphasized how much Ičići means to them and expressed their wish to continue this tradition in the years to come.
"Our hearts belong to Ičići. For us, this is more than a holiday spot – it is where we found friends, peace, and a unique beauty that is hard to find elsewhere,” said the couple.
Such anniversaries are not only a testament to the loyalty of returning guests, but also a confirmation of the quality and uniqueness that small tourist communities like Ičići can offer – warmth, authenticity, and long-lasting bonds that go far beyond classic tourism.
